Mocha Creams

Milla in Baby, Not Tonight used shavings of couverture chocolate as her topping, a fine chocolate with added cocoa butter manufactured in Europe and the U.S. You can find it online, but any good chocolate will do.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 cup coffee
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Whipped cream

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, add milk then gently whisk in the cornstarch. Gradually whisk in the coffee and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, over medium heat. Add a few drops of vanilla and continue boiling for a few seconds. Cool.

Divide the cream mixture into six individual servings and chill until ready to serve. Top with whipped cream and decorate with dark chocolate shavings.

Note: Use a cup of liquid coffee, not coffee grounds.
